With an appreciation for traditional designs and an understanding of contemporary trends, Julie’s favorite place to reimagine is the bedroom. Whether it’s creating a romantic luxury hotel inspired space or helping children make their fairy tales come to life, this USM interior design grad feels the bedroom is the spot that is the most personal and allows her to really get to know her clients. Julie experiments with textures to create serenity, and she loves asking questions to help her customers’ dreams come true. Her favorite part of the job is going to market and finding unique items that will work within existing spaces to create new attitude and spirit. She loves clean lines and open spaces, and she has the perfect solutions for accessories and decor that call for calm and relaxation. Julie is the proud mom of two dogs, Bella and Lucy.
Favorite Color: It changes with each client
Cathy says her favorite thing about working with clients is their desire to learn how they can create a magnificent space. She works with them to rearrange and redecorate to design a space that is comfortable and inviting. Her specialty is the living room, where people gather and families build memories. An Army wife, Cathy has collected design ideas from all over the country and the world. Having moved every couple of years and been challenged to make each place feel warm and cozy for her children Jess and Brodie, she stretched her imagination to combine elements of previous dwellings into the newest family home. Cathy believes design comes from the inside, and she feels everyone has ideas that can be brought to reality. She is honest with her clients about the possibilities of their space and welcomes opportunities to make the most out of every design challenge. Outside of her true passion for interior design, Cathy’s favorite things to do are writing love letters to Jesus, cheering for the Saints and hanging out with her four grandchildren.
Favorite Color: Bold Pink
A Whodat at heart, Kelsey began her design career just after she learned to walk. Even as a child, she would move furniture around to accommodate her imagination, and she later became an interior designer to fulfill her dreams. Kelsey loves bold splashes of color and combining rustic with formal to create unexpected spaces. She appreciates furniture collections that have been curated over time, and she has the know-how to create the same look from the vast selection at J. Allan’s. Kelsey was an art major, and her favorite space to explore her talent is in the foyer – the first place people see. She says families can exhibit their personalities in the foyer and set the mood for their home. She is happiest when she creates a space that challenges the norm. Kelsey’s family is her pride and joy. Her husband Cody and children Camilla, Delilah and Finley are her deepest inspiration.
